2018 Candidate Pledge

THE ARC CONNECTICUT 2018 CANDIDATE PLEDGE

Our 2018 Pledge was sent to all gubernatorial and general assembly candidates who presented the Secretary of the State (SOTS) with a valid email address. An internet search was conducted for all campaigns where that information was not available. A lack of signature denotes that a candidate either did not sign, or there was no available contact information to be found for their campaign. Click here to look up State Senate and State House Districts in your Town. ** Please note that the pledge was created to assist members of our community in making an informed choice. It is not an endorsement for any party or any candidate.

Our community has a huge stake in the upcoming election. Please make sure to register to vote and to use The Arc 2018 Candidate pledge to support candidates who will support you and your family!

Connecticut has Election Day Registration which allows Connecticut residents to register and vote on Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Election Day Registration is not available at your regular polling place, but is available at a designated location in each town, beginning at 6 am and ending at 8 pm. Click here to find the Election Day Registration site in your town.

In 2016 nearly 15 million people did not vote because of transportation issues! This year Uber, Lyft., Lime Bike and others are offering free and reduced rides to the polls. Learn more here. You can also ask local Democratic or Republican Town Committees for free a ride. Call your Town Clerk to get their numbers. Find your Town Clerk here.
