Connecticut has a new Governor and 41 new legislators. With projected deficits for years to come, decision makers will need to make tough choices about the future of our state. 

In spite of the fiscal challenges our state is facing, there is much to be hopeful about. With a new Governor and so many faces in the legislature, our community needs to seize the opportunity to use our collective voice to make sure sure that people with I/DD are included in the vision of a better Connecticut. 

All are welcome to attend Family Hearing Day, but only people with with I/DD, parents and other family members may testify.  Sign up and will be on a first come first serve basis, and will take place in the First Floor Atrium of the Legislative Office Building from 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. You may submit 35 copies of written testimony at the time of sign up. Speakers will limited to 3 minutes. Please be considerate of others and practice remaining in this time frame beforehand.  Due to time constraints, there may be some who sign up who will not get a chance to testify.
