Inclusive Yoga

Yoga, relaxation and creative dance movement, designed specifically for the unique abilities, learning styles and sensory needs of children, teens and young adults with autism and other Intellectual and physical disabilities, but is open to all.

Improves strength, flexibility, balance and body awareness. Reduces stress and anxiety. Promotes emotional and behavioral self-regulation, social interaction and communication- All in a FUN, non-competitive, non-judgmental atmosphere.  

Classes begin with breathing and stretching, followed by easy, gentle yoga, Creative dance activities build body and space awareness, enhance emotional expression and facilitate social interaction. Classes end with a period of relaxation that includes resting in stillness as in a typical yoga.

Instructor:
Lucy Rosenblatt, creator of Yoga Movement Therapy®, is a psychotherapist with 30 years of experience. She has taught classes, led workshops and trained teachers, therapists and parents in her techniques, throughout New England, since 2008.
