For People with Disabilities and Families Who Have Questions About ABLE and are Interested in Opening an Account.
Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) accounts allow people with disabilities to set aside up to $15,000 a year or more in tax-free savings accounts without affecting their eligibility for government benefits. But many people are unsure about how to apply for ABLE accounts or how they can be used.
Participants will receive an overview on ABLE accounts and on several of the plans that are available in Connecticut. We will then we will walk you through the ABLE account opening process and answer any questions you may have. Computers will be available, so everyone who wishes to will have the option to leave with an open ABLE account!
