Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) accounts allow people with disabilities to set aside up to $15,000 a year or more in tax-free savings accounts without affecting their eligibility for government benefits. But many people are unsure about how to apply for ABLE accounts or how they can be used.

Steven L. Rubin, B.A., J.D., CELA - Attorney Steven L. Rubin has earned the distinction of Certified Elder Law Attorney from the National Elder Law Foundation. Steven’s passion for helping people with disabilities, stems from the fact that he knows what it’s like to sit on the other side of the desk. While he was in law school, his mother was diagnosed with ALS and given less than a year to live. He was thrust into a number of roles that his clients often find themselves in — caregiver, advocate, provider, and concerned loved one.
